After dating for over a decade, the happy couple got married in Las Vegas in private ceremony for two on June 17th. To commemorate this event, we recreated the Waxlax wedding on the playa at Burning Man. Rennie, the groom, was dashing in his pink sequence bow tie and silk boxers. A few ladies (Cherie, Karem, Eva & Kari) slipped into old prom dresses and helped Anne into her thrift-store wedding gown bought for $8. (Bridemaids who joined us in spirit were Char, Jean and Margaret!) The desert wedding was filled with traditions such as the bridal bouquet toss and a ride into the sunset on a purple dinosaur.
