In other words, laugh more and worry less. If you’re in need of a smile, the perfect place to get the giggles going is a pumpkin patch. Pumpkins are funny—they are fat, orange and you really only see them one month a year. Halloween is my favorite holiday and my favorite pumpkin patch is Pa’s. It’s not just a bunch of overpriced pumpkins scattered in straw. Pa’s Pumpkin Patch has rides, slides, bumper boats, pony rides and even a petting zoo. It’s almost like a mini-fair complete with carnival games. My parents, sisters, nieces and nephews spent the afternoon at Pa’s sorting through the wild gourds and strangely shaped squash. After a few train rides and loops on the carousel, we headed for home where we dressed up in our Halloween best and pranced around. These days kids aren’t witches, ghosts and goblins—they are princesses and power rangers. Pa’s Pumpkin Patch is located on 2nd and PCH in Seal Beach, CA.
