Two hours from Reno, is a desert city where everyone is welcome. It is a environment where outrageous self-expression is prized; a place you can't buy, sell or advertise anything. (*Exception--you can buy ice and coffee.) This year roaming through Black Rock City were 500 "Mutant Vehicles", or mobile works of art. Most citizens of BRC ride their bikes or walk, but for the few who are able to create a moving vehicle that makes one stand in awe--those few are licensed to drive about the playa. Join me and watch the wild Burning Man cars, wonderful playa art and the inspirational people who become works of art themselves. Cherie and the Porno-Pop girls. Dancing on stage at the Pink Mammoth. Two Marilyns, one bar...what are the chances? My, what big lips you have! Good morning Randy! Randy and Kari. Desert glam. Say cheese! The musical desert wind. Peace and chaos. Who ran over the Pilsbury Dough Boy? Full of hot air. You can tell he rides that bike a lot. The Irish Buddhist Arab. I've had to lug this chain through the entire Black Rock Desert. The best seat in the house. Buried alive? That's ok, it's just art. Walking towards the temple. Extra-terrestrial Life Guard Stations? Black Rock City Scuba Diving. Burners have to decompress before they return to reality. Geometry again? There's nothing like piano music misting through the desert. A 3-hour tour. Evolution. Here kitty, kitty, kitty. Colorful dome camps spring up like ripe desert fruit. Iridescent shower. Are those random drops of water coming from that strange spooky shower?
