"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us.
We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant,
Gorgeous talented and fabulous?
Actually, who are you not to be?
You are a child of God.
Your playing small doesn't serve the world.
There is nothing enlightened about shrinking
So that other people won't feel insecure around you.
We are born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us.
It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone.
And as we let our own light shine,
We unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.
As we are liberated from our own fear, Our presence automatically liberates
others." -- Nelson Mandela, 1994 Inaugural Speech
170--California: Kaden is Born!
@ Site News
Jan 03 2004 - 09:01 PST |
Kaden is my cousin Steve's firstborn. He arrived on 01-03-04. | Like father, like son. | Which one is more cuddly? Kaden or Bear? (I vote for Kaden.) |
Look at those huge feet. You know what they say about big feet. (Big shoes?) | My sister Michelle gives Kaden a welcome-to-the-world hug. | Kaden holds onto Stephanie's finger. |
At 8 lbs 14 oz Kaden is just the right size for a bear hug! | Steve teaches his son to yawn. | Kaden, Michelle and Bear. |
A candle lit in Kaden's honor. | Steve, the proud papa. | My cousin Stephanie and her husband Chris hold Kaden.
